คำแปล...มูลนิธิศึกษาและเผยแพร่พระพุทธศาสนา อันเป็นองค์กรสนับสนุนทางสังคมของประเทศไทย ได้ให้ความช่วยเหลือ ดำเนินการปรับปรุงอาคารห้องสมุดแห่งวิหารมูลคันธกุฎี สารนาท ท่านอาจารย์สุจินต์ บริหารวนเขตต์ ประธานมูลนิธิ ได้ทำพิธีเปิดและมอบให้แก่ ดร. ดี เรวัตต เถโร เลขาธิการและท่านผู้ช่วยเลขา ดร. สิริ สุเมธ เถโร สมาคมมหาโพธิ์แห่งประเทศอินเดีย ในงานนี้ อาจารย์สุจินต์ และคณะคนไทย เดินทางมาร่วมทำพิธีเปิดที่นี่ 147 คน ท่านอนาคาริกะ ธรรมปาละ ผู้ก่อตั้งสมาคมมหาโพธิ์แห่งประเทศอินเดียได้สร้างห้องสมุดที่ว่านี้ ไว้ตั้งแต่เมื่อ คศ. 1931 และมีหนังสือสำคัญและหายากทางพระพุทธศาสนาสะสมไว้ที่นี่ เป็นจำนวนมาก จุดมุ่งหมายในการสร้างและสะสมเอกสารทางศาสนาพุทธไว้ที่นี่ก็เพื่อเป็น ประโยชน์แก่นักศึกษาและผู้แสวงบุญจะได้ค้นคว้า ได้มีการบันทึกว่า ท่านอนาคาริกะ ธรรมปาละ ได้บวชเป็นภิกษุและศึกษาอยู่ที่ห้องสมุดนี้เมื่อปี คศ. 1931 ท่านเถโร ที่เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบดูแลมูลคันธกุฎีวิหาร สารนาท กล่าวว่าด้วยเวลาที่ผ่านมานานปี สมุดแห่งนี้ได้กลายเป็นอาคารเก่า มีสภาพที่ไม่สามารถใช้การได้ ดังนั้นจึงต้องมีการปรับปรุงซ่อมแซมในการนี้ยังได้รับความช่วยเหลือทางการเงินและประสานงานโดยคุณสุพจน์ มธุราเจ้าของบริษัทยูนิท็อป แห่งนิวเดลี และคุณประกาศ มธุรา ผู้จัดการสาขาแห่งสารนาท
