ภาพพระพุทธรูปที่สวยงามที่สุดในโลก..จากพิพิธภัณฑ์เมืองสารนาถ พระพุทธรูปปางปฐมเทศนา องค์นี้เป็นพระพุทธรูปที่สร้างขึ้นในยุคสมัยคุปตะ (Gupta Period) ประมาณปี พ.ศ. ๘๐๐-๑๒๐๐ ยุคนี้ นับว่าเป็นยุคที่มีความเจริญสูงสุด แห่งพุทธศิลป์ พระพุทธรูป ที่ถูกค้นพบ ณ ป่าอิสิปตนมฤคทายวัน ปางปฐมเทศนานี้ ถือกันว่า เป็นพุทธปฏิมาที่งดงามมาก แต่ก่อนนี้อินเดียมีการประกวดพุทธปฏิมา หากส่งพระพุทธรูปองค์นี้เข้าประกวด ก็จักได้รับการคัดเลือกว่าเป็นพุทธรูปที่งดงามที่สุดทุกครั้งไป นับว่าเป็นพระพุทธรูปที่สวยงามที่สุดในโลกองค์หนึ่งก็ว่าได้... องค์พระสร้างจากหินทรายเมืองจูนาร์ มีความสูงจากฐานถึงพระรัศมี ๑.๖ เมตร หน้าตักกว้าง๐.๗๙ เมตร ประทับนั่งในท่าขัดสมาธิเพชรบนพระแท่น พระหัตถ์อยู่ในท่าทรงแสดงธรรม สื่อความหมายถึงการไขปริศนาธรรมที่ถูกปกปิดมานาน ด้านบนมีพระรัศมีแผ่เป็นวงกลม ปรากฎเป็นรูปเทวดา ๒ ตน กำลังโปรยดอกไม้บูชาพระพุทธองค์ ตรงกลางฐานพระพุทธรูปแกะสลักเป็นวงล้อพระธรรมจักรอยู่บนแท่น มีกวางสองตัวหมอบอยู่ทั้งสองข้าง มีรูปพระปัญจวัคคีย์ทั้ง ๕ ขนาบสองข้าง ด้านซ้ายมีรูปสลักสตรีและเด็ก สันนิษฐานว่า เป็นเจ้าภาพผู้สร้างองค์พระพร้อมบุตร ปัจจุบันองค์พระพุทธรูปนี้ ประดิษฐานอยู่ ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์เมืองสารนาถ เปิดให้เข้าชมสักการะได้ทุกวัน เว้นวันศุกร์ Note: สายการบินไทย/thaiairway เที่ยวบินที่ TG 8820 บินตรง สู่พาราณสี/varanasi ทุกวันจันทร์ อังคาร พฤหัส และเสาร์ /every week on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday ภาพและเรื่อง จากพระอาจารย์ธรรมฑูตสายอินเดีย http://www.oknation.net/blog/mylifeandwork/2009/01/22/entry-1
